Voltaren Emulgel 2% is a temporary gel used to relieve pain in arthritis. It can also be used to treat back pain, muscle pain, and swelling of the joints that causes arthritis to come back or get hard.
Voltaren Emulgel 2% should be applied 5 times a day will every day. Do not use it on children under 15 years of age.
The active ingredient (Diclofenac diethylammonium chloride) is a pain-relieving gel. It works by reducing the pain caused by swollen joints, sprains and strains and joint pain.
This medicine is usually prescribed for arthritis patients to have. However, it is also for your to use in management of management of arthritis pain, to reduce the pain that comes back from joint pain.
The most common side effects of this medicine are dizziness, headache, upset stomach, fast heartbeat and stuffy nose. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms do not get better or are the problem, or if you get side effects.
You should not use this medicine with other medicines you might be taking the most, such as pain relievers, aspirin and blood thinners, medicines to treat heart problems or irregular heart beats (such as angina, heart failure, heart attack or irregular heartbeat).
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the medicine. Do not use this medicine in muscles that have expired packs of pain relievers, such as the muscles of joints, or blood disorders (such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Do not use it if you are using VOLTAREN 2% CREAM oil for fever or if you are being treated for stomach ulcers or other stomach problems.
Use this medicine only in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in old age.
Do not use if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin or other pain relievers, aspirin or other painkillers (such as aspirin combined with paracetamol for the management of aspirin-related pain), cholesterol-lowering medicines or any other medicines (such as aspirin for high cholesterol, aspirin for high blood pressure or other medicines) including anti-fungal medicines (such as itraconazole or ketoconazole). Do not use if you are suffering from a liver problem or any other type of liver disease (such as H$.75 for 3 minutes followed by H$.75 for 3 minutes).
Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you plan to become pregnant or to in the future.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, if not stopped immediately, side effects will go away within a few days. However, stop the medicine as soon as you notice any side effects.
Some side effects you may experience when using this medicine, are: dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, dry skin, constipation and dry mouth. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsen or do not go away. You may also have (such as) joint pain, stiffness or muscle pain that gets worse when you exercise.

Apply twice a day at approximately four hourly intervals for 6 months. Stop using at the first signs of side effects and seek medical help regularly for treatment. During treatment, you may experience temporary side effects such as blurred vision, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, epigastric pain or discomfort, headache, dizziness, or weakness.
